Cross-country skiing
In Gastein, cross-country skiers are spoilt for choice from an extensive network of trails, depending on the current snow conditions. An impressive total of 50 kilometres of perfectly groomed cross-country trails are available. These extend over an altitude difference of 1600 metres in the breathtaking natural arena of Sportgastein. They include the idyllic Himmelwand trail in the picturesque Kötschachtal valley in Bad Gastein, floodlit trails in Böckstein and Bad Hofgastein as well as the snow-sure trails in the Angertal valley. Cross-country skiers can also indulge their passion on the meadows of the golf course and in Dorfgastein.
