Bad Gastein in winter is a paradise. Everything that snow lovers dream of. Really. We have four extensive ski areas up to 2,700 metres altitude, with over 200 kilometres of panoramic pistes, all perfectly groomed. There are 60km of easy runs, 117km of medium difficulty and 24km of demanding runs. Everyone will find their measure of skiing pleasure here - professional to beginner.
SKIING & SNOWBOARDING
It’s non-stop from the top – thousands of meters of deluxe descents. Champagne powder on the northern slopes. The southern slopes of firn. Slip seamlessly through the surrounding region with the Skipass Amadé. An Eldorado for free riders with tree runs & gutters galore.
NORDIC SKI
Make perfect tracks in the powder snow through wildly romantic forests amidst grandiose mountain scenery. Ambitious skaters and Nordic ski fans are in luck with more than 45km of cross-country trails and all at 1600 meters in the heights of Sportgastein.
TOBOGGANING
A tingling in your stomach. The crazy curves of the Bellevue Alm toboggan run are a nostalgic moment of pure fun. Take the night-time option for tobogganing with a refreshment stop. It will have been a long time since you've laughed so much!

WINTER HIKING
When covered in deep snow the mountain scenery of the Hohe Tauern is an unforgettable panorama. The most impressive routes are best seen with a guide – borrow the snowshoes and get out there.
SKI TOURING
Experience the true freedom of untouched snow. No lift, no gondola. Just you and the slopes in the midst of the magically quiet nature. The crystalline glitter of deep, high alpine powder snow. And in the ski huts there is mulled wine.
