Skiing in the Gastein Valley

Four large ski areas with a total of 51 lifts are located in the region. The Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel areas form the largest interconnected ski area, the Sportgastein ski area with the highest peaks, the interconnected Dorfgastein-Großarl ski area is known for its family-friendliness. More than 200 km of perfectly groomed slopes as well as numerous deep snow runs, mogul pistes and fun parks ensure a varied skiing experience.

Off Piste

Dare to head off piste?  Then Bad Gastein is for you.  An extensive backcountry makes for a unique freeriding experience.  Here you can find deep snow in its purest form.  From the first turns on the slopes to making fresh tracks in the winter landscape, private guides from our local partner, Freeride Gastein, will give you countless opportunities.  After all they know the best runs in the whole Gastein valley like the back of their hand.
