Panta Rhei – everything flows. In Bad Gastein, this idea becomes immediately tangible: the waterfall as the town's ley line, the hot springs, the vertical topography, the constant interplay between nature and the built landscape. This year's theme, " Between Waters," of the summer.fresh.art. festival encourages thinking in terms of transitions, circulation, and spaces of resonance.
The international artist-in-residence program responds to the unique energy of the location. Artists work on-site, developing their own pieces and shaping their engagement with Bad Gastein in situ. An exhibition of international artistic positions by Julius von Bismarck, Micha Leinkauf, and Joana Serrano Rivas is on display on the ground floor of the power plant. In the Radon Pavilion on the Kaiser Wilhelm Promenade, the renowned artist Nives Widauer presents her "River Runners": textile works that combine natural movement, materiality, and poetic precision.
A Celebration of Art: Claudio Limón & STRAAT Museum at the Miramonte
Pure Artistry at the Miramonte! In an exciting collaboration with the renowned STRAAT Museum Amsterdam, Mexican artist Claudio Limón has brought vibrant, large-scale contemporary art to our spaces. We officially marked the grand opening and the installation of his pieces with an unforgettable launch event and an exclusive celebration dinner.
The artwork is now here for you to experience: The undeniable highlight is a monumental curtain in the bar that beautifully veils our historic panel painting. Outside, his striking poster motif "all you need is love..." proudly graces our facade, radiating pure creative energy for everyone to enjoy.
