Poserhöhe: A classic viewpoint directly above Bad Gastein: the Poserhöhe rewards hikers with a magnificent view of the Gastein Valley and the surrounding mountains. After the climb, the rustic hut invites you to stop for a bite to eat and enjoy regional delicacies.

Reedsee: Like an emerald green jewel, the Reedsee is nestled between dark spruce forests and rugged peaks. The idyllic mountain lake is a place of tranquillity and an ideal spot for a short break surrounded by unspoilt nature.

Zitterauer Tisch: The striking summit at 2,463 metres offers a wide view as far as the Hohe Tauern. The ascent is challenging, but the impressive mountain scenery and panorama make every effort worthwhile. Starting point: Stubnerkogel mountain station.

Alpenhaus Prossau: A leisurely valley hike leads through the Hohe Tauern National Park to the Alpenhaus Prossau. Surrounded by imposing rock faces and thundering waterfalls, it is a perfect destination for leisure hikers and families.

Gasteiner Höhenweg: The Höhenweg connects several villages in the valley and offers varied views of the Gastein mountain panorama. Sometimes through forests, sometimes across sunny meadows, it offers a scenic tour for nature lovers.

Gamskarkogel: At 2,467 metres, it is one of the highest grass mountains in Europe and a real highlight for mountaineers. From the top, there is an incomparable 360-degree panorama of the Tauern and Niedere Tauern mountains.

Sportgastein: At the end of the valley, Sportgastein opens up to reveal a high alpine landscape that is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the region. At an altitude of over 1,500 metres, you can expect blooming alpine pastures, clear mountain air and countless trails leading into the Hohe Tauern National Park.
