The Breathing Practice Retreat – Breathwork for Mental Clarity

 

Breathwork for Mental Clarity is a welcoming and restorative retreat open to all who wish to learn and experience the benefits of guided breathwork specifically to help manage everyday stress and decision making. It is tailored to those often working to deadline and having to make multiple decisions on a daily basis with the aim to ease the busy mind and find clarity in thought through simple breathing practice.

Starting on a Sunday evening and finishing after dinner on Friday evening, this 6 day retreat comprises: 12 breathwork classes including 2 bedtime breathing sessions for restorative sleep, 5 guided walks and/or hikes, and a 90 minute ‘Talking Salon’ on how to best use breathwork to optimise public speaking and confidence in general.

A typical day might include daily morning breathwork, a gentle mountain hike in the beautiful valleys, late afternoon movement and breathing practice with guided meditation, and bedtime breathing from the comfort of your own bed to close the day.

At Breathwork for Mental Clarity you will learn how to manage your daily stress and find mental focus through simple breathwork techniques that will in turn bring clarity, confidence and the courage to manifest what matters most to you.

All our retreats are tailored for small groups to encourage meaningful connections and lasting friendships.

Retreat costs includes all classes, guided hikes and walks and a talking salon on public speaking.
Hosted by the delightful Hotel Miramonte, room costs include: breakfast, light lunch and dinner comprising delicious nourishing food with vegan and vegetarian options; valley views from the dining room, yoga /spa terrace and all panoramic rooms; access to the spa and spacious spa terrace. Not forgetting the soothing sounds of Bad Gastein’s incredible waterfall, audible from nearly every room. What’s not included: spa treatments, airport transfers (transfers available on request).

Arrival day:
Sunday 29 June anytime between 2pm and 6pm.
Departure day:
Saturday 5 July after breakfast.

Beautifully set in the Austrian Alps, our breathing retreats help set the tone for lasting mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. Join us to reset the body and centre the mind with daily breathing practices led by Eleanor Curtis, founder of The Breathing Practice, and guided walks and hikes led by our experienced hiking guide Martine Rutten.

Over 6 days expect to feel the incredible benefits of breathwork, from re-setting the vagus nerve to anxiety reduction and better sleep, and learn how to create lasting breathing habits that will carry through a lifetime.

 

About Eleanor Curtis

Eleanor Curtis is the founder of The Breathing Practice.  Eleanor has a background spanning freediving, scuba diving, open water swimming, yoga, dance, meditation and photography.  She also races triathlons. She brings a unique blend of techniques to her breathing practice stemming from her vast experience in the water and from her general fitness practice.  

Eleanor was inspired to share the goodness and benefits of breathing practice after regular study and intensive practice of breathing optimisation techniques while training as a freediver.  In establishing The Breathing Practice, Eleanor has designed classes that are a blend of breathing optimisation techniques, pranayama breathing, breath control exercises and breath awareness meditation. The classes are designed to achieve optimal well being, a deep sense of peace and relaxation, and clarity of mind, in addition to increased awareness of breathing.  Some classes have more emphasis on meditation whilst others emphasise breath control.
