Take some time out in Salzburger Land, in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by nature, peace and lots of yoga. A weekend just for you, so that you can get back to your everyday life in a holistically strengthened and relaxed way.

Yoga retreats offer an opportunity to immerse yourself more in yoga, take time for yourself and your thoughts and return home with valuable impulses that you can integrate into your everyday life in the long term.

The retreat will be held at the Hotel Miramonte in Bad Gastein, a town known for its spectacular waterfall, picturesque hiking trails and rich nature.

I am looking forward to incorporating my knowledge from my two yoga therapy trainings to emphasize the health aspect of yoga even more. The retreat will take place in a small group in order to be able to respond to everyone as well as possible. However, this also means that places are limited to a maximum of 10 participants.

 

Who is the yoga retreat suitable for?

The retreat is aimed at participants who are affected by high blood pressure and want to practise yoga and meditation, which takes this into account and can provide supportive help. Stress is a major risk factor for high blood pressure. Therefore, the focus of the retreat is also on relaxation and stress management. We will practise yoga, but also get to know various breathing, meditation and relaxation exercises that you can integrate into your everyday life independently after the retreat.

This retreat takes into account the physical challenges of high blood pressure. There are numerous adaptations and various aids for each yoga exercise. Please note, however, that this does not mean that you can do without your medication. If you are taking tablets, please continue to take them during and after the retreat and remain in consultation with your doctor.

Yoga is not a treatment alternative to conventional medical therapy, but it helps to do something good for your cardiovascular system and reduce possible risk factors such as stress or lack of exercise, which can ultimately have a positive effect on your heart and blood pressure.

Never done yoga before? Don't worry, you don't need any yoga experience for the retreat and you don't need to be able to do splits or handstands.

Can I take part even if I don't have high blood pressure?

You don't have high blood pressure but often feel stressed and the retreat has piqued your interest? Then sign up anyway and benefit from the yoga practice and various exercises to reduce stress.

All yoga sessions are of course completely voluntary. You decide when you need time for yourself and want to take yourself out of a session.

Pia Boster

My name is Pia and I look forward to meeting you on the yoga mat soon!

My passion for yoga began more than ten years ago, when I still saw yoga as a form of fitness to make my body stronger and more flexible.

It was only through meeting different yoga teachers that my understanding expanded beyond the asanas. Over time, I found a way to integrate pranayama and meditation into my everyday life and began to delve deeper into the philosophy and history of yoga. Even today, I discover anew every day how profound and multifaceted yoga is.

I am a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher in Vinyasa Yoga and a Yoga Alliance certified meditation teacher. I have also completed various other yoga training courses and Pilates training. In my opinion, Pilates and yoga are the perfect combination for body and mind.

I am particularly proud to have successfully completed my one-year yoga therapy training. This has shown me how important it is to focus on yoga for hypertension and to continue on this path.

I hope that my enthusiasm for yoga will spread to you and I look forward to exchanging ideas and inspiring each other. Let's meet on the mat!
